Many thanks to CCBC for their support and belief in what we do, and most importantly, for spreading awareness about mental health with their students and faculty.

The Immersive Experience

In the Fall of 2022 - Fall of 2023, the Community College of Baltimore County welcomed The Empty Hourglass Project to transform true stories from volume 1 of our first book, 50 Lives/50 Truths: Reimagined Through Art, into immersive art exhibitions on their Essex and Catonsville campuses. Many thanks to CCBC for their generosity and for offering us a space to reach more people and continue the important talk on mental health!

Visitors were able to walk through and interact with recreated sets of true stories of trauma, loss, mental health, and healing from our book, as well as share their own stories, wishes, thoughts, art, and experiences at our creation stations and hang them from our healing tree (designed by Freddie Graves).
